The space
Remote enough to think. Connected enough to work.
Gylsboda is a multi-building compound in Skåne — southern Sweden's most accessible and varied region. Four or more distinct buildings spread across the grounds give groups genuine breathing room: private spaces to sleep and think, shared spaces to gather and cook.
With 7 bathrooms and 5 kitchens distributed across the buildings, large groups move freely without bottlenecks. We provide linens, full cleaning, good coffee, and a curated guide to local experiences, caterers, and adventures.
One of the homes was the childhood home of Harry Martinson — Nobel Prize winning author and poet. The compound runs entirely on solar energy with geothermal heating, filtered on-site well water, and is built and finished using ecological materials including linseed oil paints. EV charging is available on site.
Local organic farmers, bakers, and butchers are a short drive away — we'll connect you with them before you arrive.

A place with a story
The childhood home of a Nobel laureate
One of the compound's buildings was the childhood home of Harry Martinson — Swedish author, poet, and Nobel Prize winner in Literature. His writing was shaped by the forests, landscape, and working life of exactly this part of Sweden.
Gylsboda is not a manufactured retreat experience. It's a place that has meant something for a very long time, and continues to.
"My home was the whole world, and the whole world was my home."
Harry Martinson · Nobel Prize in Literature, 1974
